One of the biggest reggae events globally is the celebration of reggae's most beloved star, Robert Nesta Marley, more popularly known as Bob Marley. A couple years ago, Jam Link International - undeniably, the #1 urban event promoter in Aarhus, Denmark - hosted an unforgettable tribute to the reggae king. The event attracted audiences from across Denmark, Germany, England and Sweden and was given a 5 star review in G.A.F.F.A magazine.
Now that Aarhus is named the cultural city for 2017, Jam Link International, in collaboration with Voxhall, will host the 2017 Tribute to Bob Marley on February 4th at Voxhall (Vester Alle 15, 8000 Aarhus C, Denmark). The headlining act for this event is Europe's most popular Marley tribute band, Roots Riders. The Roots Riders have appeared all over the world, performing at sold out events, festivals, stadiums etc.
Jam Link Intl. has announced that in addition to Roots Riders, Mitchell Browning, known from Voice of Holland, where he sang Redemption Song for his audition (56 million views on YouTube), will also share the stage. Additional presenters includes: G.A.F.F.A journalist Henrik Baek, who will do an interactive presentation of Rastafarian culture, Bob Marley's life and music; Line Hassall Thomsen, from Y Aarhus Poetry Club. She will provide a poetry tribute to Bob Marley. There will be reggae inspired art by visual artist, Annette Vogel and of course music will be provided by Aarhus' local sound systems and DJs. Finally, Marley coffee will be served and Cafe Food Fein will serve a special reggae menu at their cafe as a prelude to the party.
